We’ve got some news on future projects as well as a few updates to the site to help navigate to the buddy-sites for projects The Hero of Time’s creators are working on!  The video is long overdue—we know. It was hard to contrive a video update without many things going on with The Hero of Time. But chin up cause its here! It features footage from the LA screening from last year, some behind the scenes funnies, as well as some really weighty banter of us on the couch!

Regarding the website’s updates— you’ll notice a new tab in the top left that says “new projects”. If you click on that tab, options for the buddy-sites will pop up.  The buddy-sites will be hosting all the updates and info on their projects. So, be sure to check them out and subscribe, check back, bookmark, make a mental note—whatever you need to do to keep informed!  Right now we are only featuring 2 projects, but maybe we’ll have more in the near future.

Thanks again for all your support! We really hope all you Zelda zealots will continue to follow us along with other film and creative projects! These projects need love too, ya know. But no charity love! We’ll have none of that.

Very soon we are going to add a couple distinct links to buddy-sites (in addition to the one below) of the other projects the creators of HoT are working on. Also, as promised, we will be posting a wonderfully uninformative HoT video update that will include footage from the LA screening as well as other fun video (see above spoiler-stills^^)!!  So there’s that. Looking at almost 9 million website hits this year, we’re surprised that you guys are still checking in to see whats new, so we want to appreciate that by trying to get more updates and content up. Thanks again and always for all your encouragement and support of The Hero of Time! We can’t imagine ever having another fan-base as cool and fun as you all! We were really excited to be able to meet so many of you and we were so delighted to receive so many of your emails, reviews and messages! We’re certain that most of the enthusiasm we’ve noticed probably comes from your and our mutual zeal for Zelda and we hope since we’ve established such a super camaraderie already that you will gladly venture with us into our next projects! : )

We are currently working on a new project and hope that you all will be just as enthusiastic about this one! We aren’t naive enough to set a release date just yet, but status updates are on the way! In the meantime if any of you filmmakers and graphic designers out there are interested in post-production, we could use your help! We are specifically looking for a 3D model/animator, and someone with plenty of experience in After Effects. If you’re interested in helping out on our next epic adventure, email us HERE!

We hope to be posting a video of our LA screening footage soon. We held off on it for so long because we didn’t have any updates to go along with it. Maybe our update will be that there are no updates with The Hero of Time whatsoever! : )

This has been quite an adventure for us and we have a real sense of peace bringing the project to a close. Between the screenings and the online release many of you were able to see the film and we hope to not have only inspired those of you that live, breathe and dream Zelda but we also hope to have inspired all of you aspiring filmmakers out there!  Thank you again for all your patience with the project and we hope you had as much fun watching our movie as we did making it. As we announced at the screening, we will be releasing the film through our official partnership with dailymotion.com on Monday December 14th! We are really excited about this! The film will be in High Quality, and in one piece!

Also, for those of you that can’t huddle around a computer with all your friends to watch the film, on December 21st we will be releasing a DVD file to download with instructions on a three step process to make your own DVD of the film!  Free movie for everyone!!!

We are excited to announce that The Hero of Time will be screened in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 14th at the James Bridges Theatre (UCLA) at 7:00PM!  We’d love to meet all of you from the west coast and hear what you think of the film! Mark your calendars! Also, for additional incentive purposes, we will be making a HUGE announcement about the worldwide online release date for The Hero of Time at the Los Angeles screening! So don’t miss it!

Following our New York City screening on Saturday, September 12th at Tribeca Cinemas, The Hero of Time will be screened at the Connichi Convention in Kassel, Germany on Friday, September 18th! Please visit the Connichi website for more information.

Germany is one of our top requested European HoT spots, so if you live in or around Germany, this is your chance to see the film on the big screen before the public release! Although the producers and actors in the film will most likely not attend, our friends hosting the convention will make sure all supporters of the film feel welcome. We’d really love to hear your feedback after the screening, so be sure to comment on the forum or shoot us an email with your thoughts!

Download the soundtrack!

We want to share more of the film with everyone before the public release, so we are going to be releasing tracks from The Hero of Time soundtrack! We will be releasing the full tracks from the Soundtrack Montage starting with “Music Box“. We are also adding a tab on the website for more information and track downloads. If you dig George R. Powell’s inspired work on the The Hero of Time, be sure to check out his website.

GREAT NEWS! On September 12th, 2009 we’re bringing The Hero of Time to the Tribeca Cinemas theatre in NEW YORK CITY!!! We are planning on two screenings – 7:15 and 9:15PM. Doors open for the first showing at 7:00PM, so be sure to show up early! For those of you not anywhere near New York City; don’t fret. You can still sign up for HoT SPOTS!

Sorry it has taken us so long to organize these next screenings. We know some of you are annoyed that we haven’t announced a list of places the movie will screen. As we’ve mentioned from the start, this is a not-for-profit venture from Legend of Zelda fans. We hope that if this screening works out, the HoT SPOTS will build momentum and everyone will see it on something other than a 20-part-low-res-Youtube-playlist : )
