The Hero of Time had its WORLD PREMIERE on June 6th 2009 here in Atlanta. The film had several other screenings in cities such as NYC, LA, Kassel, Germany, and Pasco, WA. The online release was scheduled for Dec 14th and ran exclusively on Daily Motion till the end of the year. The film is no longer available for distribution as we stated in our post Jan 1st 2010:

“Hey, everyone. We just wanted to let you know that Dec. 31 was the last day that The Hero of Time was available for viewing. We came to an agreement with Nintendo earlier this month to stop distributing the film.  In the spirit of the holiday season they were good enough to let us keep the movie up for you to watch and enjoy through the end of 2009, but not past 2009.  We understand Nintendo’s right to protect its characters and trademarks and understand how in order to keep their property unspoiled by fan’s interpretation of the franchise, Nintendo needs to protect itself — even from fan-works with good intentions.

This has been quite an adventure for us and we have a real sense of peace bringing the project to a close. Between the screenings and the online release many of you were able to see the film and we hope to not have only inspired those of you that live, breathe and dream Zelda but we also hope to have inspired all of you aspiring filmmakers out there!  Thank you again for all your patience with the project and we hope you had as much fun watching our movie as we did making it. Thanks for all your wonderful messages of encouragement and support! I’m sure our next project will be right around the corner! No, it’s not Majora’s Mask : )”

The film was shot mainly on weekends over the span of about two years from August ’04 through January ’06. Post production started immediately and a rough edit void of any special fx was contrived early in ’07. The lack of visual fx and music help was challenging to the films progress; nevertheless the film printed a final draft in Oct ’08 thanks to all the additional help from saints like George R. Powell (composer)!

The film is set in Hyrule where a young boy from the forest (Link) is beckoned by his dreams and the sage of the forest (Deku Tree) to venture to the city of Hyrule and seek princess Zelda’s council. The evil Lord Ganondorf has plotted to overthrow the kingdom which propels Princess Zelda into hiding. Link endeavors to save them by pulling of the Master Sword in the Temple of Time. Consequently sending him 5 years into the future where Ganon now rules and threatens the future of the kingdom. Link must find a way to not only save his princess but the land he’s fervent for.

    Nintendo, YOU SUCK!

Copyright claim? You could easily give a license to them and let them have their video. But instead you chose to block them. Hence
    You suck.

I won’t buy a single piece of Nintendo merchandise (except for the master sword I’m buying later today) until this is a video again! You said the Mario movie in the 90’s sucked, it was really good! You should make an actual Zelda movie and put this one on DVD! For now, YOU SUCK!!!
